Danielle MacLean is a partner with DCL Law. Originally from North Sydney, Nova Scotia, she is a graduate of Saint Mary’s University (B.A. 2000) and Dalhousie University (LL.B 2003) and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2004. Her practice includes real estate, title insurance, wills and estate planning, contracts, corporate law. Danielle is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. She sits on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS), is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society Professional Standards (Real Estate) Committee and is a past co-chair of the Real Property Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association (Nova Scotia) . She lives in Halifax with her family.
Michael Leblanc is a partner with DCL Law. Michael is from Halifax, Nova Scotia and is a graduate of Dalhousie University (LL.B 1978) and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1978. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of FCT Insurance Company Ltd. (www.fct.ca) since October 2013. Michael has an extensive legal background in real-estate-related matters and appeared before the Supreme Court on both commercial and other civil matters. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society and is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events on topics surrounding real estate matters and title insurance. Michael is married with three children.
Brennan LeJean is an associate with DCL Law. He grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia, and attended Cape Breton University (BBA 2010) and University of New Brunswick (JD 2016). Brennan was the Vice President of the Law Students' Society at UNB, and has a particular interest in small business and family law, and completed Collaborative Family Law training in 2017. He was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2017 and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers’ Society, the Real Estate Lawyers’ Association of Nova Scotia (RELANS), the Collaborative Family Law Association of Nova Scotia, the Association of Collaborative Professionals of Nova Scotia, and the Canadian Bar Association. Brennan lives in Halifax's North End with his family.
Ashley Duguay has been a Paralegal with DCL Law since 2010. Her paralegal skills are focused on the areas of Property, Wills & Estates, Family and Corporate Law. Ashley is originally from Truro, Nova Scotia and obtained her Paralegal Diploma at Success College of Applied Arts and Technology, Truro Campus in 2003. She is always eager and willing to take on new responsibilities and learn about different areas of law. She is married with two young sons and currently resides in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia. Ashley was appointed as Commissioner of Oaths for the Province of Nova Scotia in March 2013.
